Position Overview TheMarine Electrical Estimator / Project Managerplays a critical dual role in both the estimation and execution of marine electrical projects. You will be responsible for preparing competitive bids, managing project budgets and timelines, and ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality, compliance, and safety. Key Responsibilities • Review technical specifications, drawings, and project documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates. • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. • Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams. • Conduct site visits and inspections as required. • Manage procurement of materials, labor, and subcontracted services. • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks. • Ensure all work complies with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols. • Prepare and present project updates to senior management and clients. Required Qualifications • Minimum 5 years of experience in marine electrical estimating and/or project management. • Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, shipboard installations, and regulatory standards (ABS, USCG, etc.). • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents. • Proven experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously. • Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills. • Proficient in estimating software and MS Office Suite (experience with AutoCAD, Primavera, or similar tools is a plus). • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed. Preferred Qualifications • Degree or certification in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related field. • Experience working in shipyards or marine vessel retrofit environments. • Experience with military and government contracts. • OSHA 30 or other relevant safety certifications.
