Marine Electrician - Per Diem Available!

Currently, CTS is reviewing resumes forMarine Electricians in San Diego, CA. **Per diem available for qualified candidates - $175/day** Responsibilities: • Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems. • Responsible for layout, installation, and repair of shipboard cables, lighting, and electronic equipment, as well as the ship's power. • Follow blueprints to construct and install instrument panels using appropriate tools. • Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices. • Connect power-supply circuits to fire control, sonar, radio, and other electronic equipment. • Install conduit to bulkheads with brackets and screws. • Thread wires through conduit to connection boxes, circuit breakers, voltage regulators, and switch panels. • Use a variety of hand and power tools and testing equipment. • Test voltage, resistance, and circuits using indicators and meters. Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience in a commercial, industrial or maritime setting. • 1 year of maritime experience preferred. • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and blueprints. • Experience using standard electrician equipment (meters, gauges, hand tools etc.). • Willing to work at heights and in confined spaces in different weather conditions. • Position may be required to work either day or night shifts based on shipyard needs. • Strong understanding of safety regulations and protocols in a marine environment. • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Must be able to pass a hair follicle test and background check.
