POSITION SUMMARY The Marketing & Communication Manager is responsible for leading CRIT’s external communication strategies and fostering a positive internal workplace culture. This dual-focused role merges strategic marketing functions and branding with team engagement initiatives that promote employee morale, inclusion and organizational cohesion. Working across departments, this role supports CRIT’s mission by amplifying its story externally while cultivating an energized and connected work environment internally. WORKING CONDITIONS General office and sedentary, requiring extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. Ability to exert a light degree of physical effort including carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, walking and the assisted lifting of objects and materials up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and distance vision. Limited exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, odors, humidity, temperature and noise extremes, wetness and vibrations. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator. Manual dexterity, ability to reach, bend, and use 2-step stool while safely lifting and lowering boxes. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events. May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Coordinates effective communication of human resources initiatives and programs. Develops and implements strategies to make the in-person/in-office employee experience compelling and engaging to distinguish it from the at-home working experience. Creates and monitors measures of effectiveness, including turnover and employee engagement scores. Leads strategy, planning and execution of CRIT’s presence on social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, etc.) Develops monthly content calendars and ensures brand consistency across all social media channels. Monitors engagement, responds to comments/messages and adjusts social media strategies based on performance metrics. Manages the content and design updates of CRIT’s website in collaboration with external vendors or the internal IT Support team. Ensures the accuracy, relevance and alignment of information posted on the website with fundraising and program goals. Tracks performance analytics of the website and proposes improvements to enhance user experience. Designs and execute targeted email campaigns to support fundraising, events, and donor engagement Manages email and fundraising campaigns donor lists and segmentation in collaboration with the development team. Writes compelling messages for email marketing and fundraising campaigns, schedules campaigns and analyzes performance for continuous improvement. Oversees the creation and consistency of all branded materials, including, but not limited to, brochures, flyers, newsletters, banners and digital graphics. Maintains brand standards across all communications. Manages relationships with freelance designers or agencies, as needed. Acts as a bridge between patients/families and media/production teams to ensure respectful and accurate storytelling. Coordinates logistics, consent forms and schedules for filming, interviews, or photo shoots at the facility. Supports production needs during campaign or event storytelling projects. Writes and curates meaningful, inclusive content that reflects the mission, programs and impact of CRIT. Develops talking points, press releases and internal announcements, as needed. Collaborates with departments across the organization to collect stories and data to share with the public and stakeholders. Coordinates new employee or new student onboarding to ensure a smooth welcome into the organization. Leads development and implementation of employer brand and employee value proposition to drive. Leverages employee engagement tactics and strategies as key drivers of change efforts across the organization. Ensures support and coordination of current employee engagement events and activities across the organization. Develops and implements programs to engage and connect employees to highlight and amplify the employee culture for both new and existing employees. Researches and learns about current trends and best practices in employee engagement to ensure program effectiveness. Develops internal publications such as newsletters, releases, email announcements, planned publications, online content, intranet and special projects KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Education Experience License & Certification Testing Other • High school diploma or equivalent • Bachelor’s degree or some college preferred • 2+ years of Marketing experience • Valid Texas Driver License • Criminal background check • Non-DOT drug test • Acceptable MVR • MS Office Programs • Graphic Design Special Notes 1.
