We are seeking a detail-oriented and experiencedMarketing & Communications Managerto join ourMarketing & Communicationsteam, which is part of the larger Development & Marketing Department. This role leads the planning and execution of strategic communications in collaboration with the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing & Communications Coordinator, and the Web Developer/Graphic Designer. This is a hybrid role based out of the JFS Seattle office on Capitol Hill.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Collaborates extensively with Data Services team and Donor Relations (DRT) team.
o Plans, writes, and executes digital and direct mail appeals and solicitations, working in tandem with development team colleagues.
o Works closely with Director of Special Events to project manage marketing and communications related to the Community of Caring Luncheon, our largest fundraising event of the year, as well as other donor-focused events throughout the year.
o Develops, writes, edits, and produces recurring materials, including the JFS Annual Report (Report to the Community), Year in Review, and donor updates.
o In partnership with Marketing & Communications Coordinator, creates social media campaigns and sets regular goals for engagement, visibility and reach on social media channels, including, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
o Serves as main liaison for the M&C team, communicating and collaborating extensively with Data Services, Donor Relations, and program staff on all external marketing and communications, as well as external JFS vendors.
o Manages all program related communications and marketing; meeting regularly with program colleagues and other internal stakeholders to assess marketing and communications’ needs; create and implement communications plans to support these needs.
o Writes, edits and partners with Graphic Designer and program colleagues to develop engaging, dynamic, and strategic collateral and other creative content
o Supports the Director with development and execution of public relations and media strategies, including drafting press releases, fact sheets, and more.
o In partnership with the Director of Marketing & Communications, develop and implement inclusive internal communication strategies that foster transparency, collaboration, and a sense of belonging across all teams, such as staff updates and leadership messages.
o Maintain the Marketing & Communications Hub (internal) ensuring content is clear, inclusive, and representative of all staff.
o Maintains media and press database.
o Writes external statements when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 6-8 years of professional experience in nonprofit communications, PR, development, or journalism required.
• Bachelor’s degree (or combination of relevant experience and an Associate’s degree) required.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills required.
• Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising and development required.
• Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills, ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast paced environment required.
• Interest in or willingness to learn about Jewish culture and community required.
• Experience with ethical storytelling and content strategy preferred.
• Familiarity with SEO, digital analytics, and campaign metrics preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to valuing belonging and diversity, contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment preferred.
• Creative thinker with flexible problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Teams and Excel.
• Experience with project management software (Asana preferred).
• Knowledge of EveryAction (or similar), CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress).
• Proficiency with social media platforms and scheduling tools (eg Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Hubspot)
• Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
· The pay for this position is $82,909 - $101,333 a year.
