Position Summary
Southern Land Company is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to help support our growing team and efforts across Multi-Family and Single-Family Marketing initiatives.
This role will be part of Southern Land’s Marketing & Communications team whose focus is to build the Southern Land brand & corporate reputation, drive demand for our properties across the US and create positive experiences within our communities. This cross-functional team includes professionals in marketing & branding, public relations, digital & social media, health & wellness, content development, graphic design, and event planning.
This hands-on role supports seamless communication, resident engagement, and event planning across the Multi-Family and Single-Family portfolio while contributing to corporate brand consistency and visibility. The coordinator will also assist in the execution of high-impact marketing initiatives tied to the company’s evolving brand identity.
Primary Responsibilities
•
Content & Communication:
• Develop, schedule, and distribute engaging newsletters and email blasts for the multi-family portfolio, aligned with brand voice and messaging.
• Create targeted email campaigns for segmented prospect and resident groups.
• Promote relevant neighborhood and community events that add value to the resident experience.
• Craft compelling copy for event invitations and communications that enhance community connection.

Event Coordination:
• Assist in the planning, execution, and recap of on-site and virtual resident events.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to manage logistics and ensure successful event delivery.
• Maintain and manage event calendars for multi-family communities.
• Serve as point of contact for community sponsorships and local engagement opportunities.

Organic Social Execution:
• Collaborate with the digital marketing team and on-site teams to deploy and monitor organic social media content for multi-family communities and corporate platforms.
• Ensure consistency with brand tone and visuals across platforms.

Corporate Rebrand Coordination:
• Support the implementation and rollout of the corporate rebrand across internal and external channels.
• Assist with asset management, brand compliance checks, and updating marketing materials to reflect new branding.
• Coordinate cross-departmental communication to ensure cohesive brand adoption company-wide.

Reporting & Optimization:
• Track KPIs including open rates, click-through rates, event engagement, and social metrics.
• Compile and present performance reports to leadership monthly.
• Use insights to recommend content and campaign optimizations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
•
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•
Ability to write long form and short form copy.
•
Ability to learn and be coached.
•
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
•
Ability to keep sensitive information highly confidential.
•
Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal professionally with clients, vendors, and co-workers on the phone and in person.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to take initiative, use good judgment, demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail, and carry multiple projects through to completion.
•
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize work and ask for further clarification when necessary.
•
Ability to work under pressure with tight time constraints, as well as the ability to deal with frequent interruptions, unresolved situations, frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Education and Experience
•
College Degree required, preferably in Marketing or relevant field
•
2+ years experience in residential marketing

•
Digital and social media skills
