Marketing Data & Technology Specialist

Function: Marketing

Reports to: Director, Marketing Operations

Position Summary:

As Marketing Data & Technology Specialist, you will act as liaison between Demand Generation, Marketing, and Sales ‘Go to Market’ teams to ensure data is flowing properly through our technology ecosystem and provide insights into performance metrics for the marketing team. You will also work with platform vendors, automation teams, and other operations teams to ensure data accuracy, and provide actionable insights into Key Performance Indicators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage marketing tech stack to ensure accuracy and integrity of back-end functionality and integrations.
  • Drive Sales and marketing funnel process compliance across the funnel for all GTM campaigns.
  • Work with cross-functional platform vendors to ensure data is accurate and flowing through the technology ecosystem properly.
  • Proactively identify, gather, aggregate, analyze and interpret large datasets for key drivers behind performance measurement (campaign/channel analysis, trend monitoring, etc). Create, maintain, and document master marketing reports for one source of truth across the department. Assist with additional reporting needs cross-functionally across marketing, sales, and other departments as needed.
  • Maintain channel health by completing QA processes and guardrails that minimize funnel losses across the buyer journey.
  • Maintain database health, hygiene, and compliance with government regulations and company policies. Oversee data accuracy and ensure unbiased presentation of information.
  • Manage all data import, cleansing, appending, and quality assurance tasks. Prepare, compile, normalize and sort data for entry or import into CRM. Manage data quality and accuracy once in CRM

Skills and Experience Needed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, data analytics or equivalent degree in related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing or business analytics
  • Marketing business acumen, and the ability to interact with stakeholders across the business.
  • Familiar with industry trends for marketing technology platforms and typical use cases of marketing automation platforms, Marketo preferred.
  • Proficient with Salesforce CRM, and reporting analytics.
  • Proficient with data visualization tools and integration with Salesforce in building ad-hoc reports, dashboards, snapshots, etc..
  • Self-starter with the drive and ability to learn new skills and tools as need to achieve goals.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to establish priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
