Job Description
The Mintel Marketing Intelligence team is responsible for bridging strategy and creativity with leading-edge advertising data, marketing best practices, and competitive intelligence acumen. A Marketing Intelligence Strategist on our team plays a crucial role in analyzing data for our custom, client-facing deliverables.
The right candidate will be able to work efficiently within large sets of data to clean, organize, and synthesize initial findings. You will be able to work independently or hand-in-hand with other members of our team.
The ideal candidate will have 1+ year of experience working with data in a company environment on behalf of clients. You should be able to demonstrate advanced Microsoft Office skills, in particular within Excel and PowerPoint. You should have experience working with media monitoring platforms including Comperemedia Omni, Nielsen, Kantar, Pathmatics, Media Radar, and Rival IQ. You should be able to display poise under pressure, and be able to seamlessly shift from high altitude thinking to the tangible and practical. This role will prioritize custom programs in the financial services industry, so experience with financial services or clients in regulated industries is a plus.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Normalize large sets of data across multiple sources
- Organize and analyze data, including tasks like building pivot tables, running text-based queries, composing charts, and ensuring quality control.
- Collaborating with a highly motivated team of client-facing account managers and consultants to execute commercial opportunities for premium consulting services.
- Analyzing advertising creatives for those you think are best-in-class for inclusion in our client-facing work.
- Proofreading and quality checking your teammates work.
- Crafting case studies we can use in our prospecting process.
