The Marketing Intern is a member of the Sales Strategy and Experience team that is responsible for ensuring our internal and external stakeholders have the information needed to deliver our value proposition to Medicare consumers and support company growth goals. This role is an exciting opportunity for a well-rounded, savvy college student to impact our business and support our 90,000+ contracted Medicare field agents. This role's primary function will be focused on supporting our annual go-to-market and product launch, which includes developing content focused on industry changes, planning national and local events, communicating to key stakeholders and enhancing agent engagement. This role will also be responsible for working with cross-functional partners to help optimize outreach and deliver a best-in-class agent experience.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Communications Development: Support the development of communications related to seasonal readiness including emails and digital newsletters. Write communications that are clear, simple, on brand, grammatically correct, target applicable audience and meet stakeholder needs. Help submit and receive review of external materials through subject matter experts.
- Event Support: Support national and local product launch events with onsite event support, logistics, and project timelines
- Agent Experience Collaborate with business partners (marketing, creative, product, legal/compliance, operations, digital, data analytics, etc.) to support understanding and implementation of our agent experience efforts
- Campaign Management & Implementation: Assist with collecting data and analyzing communication performance, collateral development and campaign execution, help compile and summarize insights and reporting to leaders
- Market Research and Competitive Intelligence: Research industry and competitive trends and data to inform product and marketing strategies

Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field from an accredited college / university during the duration of the internship. Internships are not intended for graduating seniors
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)
- Legally authorized to work in the US without any restrictions. Proof will be required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA
- Interest or knowledge of analyzing data and identifying trends and actionable insights
- Coursework focused on:
- Developing content tailored to specific audiences and channels (digital, print, social, verbal)
- Omni-channel content creation
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to learn new tools and processes in a dynamic environment
- Proven excellent writing and editing skills
- Proven ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity
- Proven excellent project management and implementation skills
The hourly range for this role is $18.00 to $32.00 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
