Job Description
The Hoover Institution at Stanford University seeks amarketing-savvy, data-driven Performance Analystto join our Marketing and Communications team. This role is essential to measuring and optimizing campaign effectiveness across digital and traditional channels. The ideal candidate bringshands-on marketing experience, understands the role of storytelling in driving engagement, and can translate complex data into actionable insights usingHubSpot,Google Analytics (GA4), andLooker Studio.
You’ll lead campaign tracking and performance analysis, support data-informed decision-making, and help refine targeting, content strategy, and reporting. Candidates should be skilled indata cleaning, mining, visualization, and automation, with a strong grasp of marketing fundamentals.

CORE DUTIES:
Performance Measurement & Reporting
· Track and report on campaign performance across email, social, web, paid, and earned media
· Clean, segment, and analyze marketing data using HubSpot and GA4
· Build dashboards that blend performance metrics with clear, narrative insights
· Identify trends, gaps, and growth opportunities focused on audience and content engagement
· Partner with the Product Marketing Manager to optimize messaging and targeting
Strategic Insights, Planning & Execution
· Translate data into intuitive narratives for stakeholders and leadership
· Design and analyze A/B and multivariate tests to improve campaign outcomes
· Provide pre/post-campaign analytics and strategic recommendations
· Forecast trends and evaluate attribution models to shape planning
Data Management & Tools
· Ensure proper tagging and tracking via HubSpot, GA4, and Google Tag Manager
· Maintain marketing data integrity across CRM, automation, and analytics systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
·Marketing Strategy & Execution: Understanding of campaign lifecycles, storytelling, and content-driven engagement
·HubSpot Mastery: Experience with custom reporting, workflows, and lead scoring
·GA4 Proficiency: Ability to analyze user behavior, content performance, and conversion paths
·Data Storytelling: Skilled at crafting insights into persuasive, executive-ready narratives
·Marketing Data Science: Experience using statistical tools to identify audience patterns and trend
·Previous experience in a marketing team or department is strongly preferred
The expected pay range for this position is $61.00 to $72.00 per hour.
