Marketing Project Manager

As we expand our team and the number of projects in flight, we need an experienced project manager to lead in the planning, execution, and tracking of multiple projects to ensure they are delivered on time and produce desired results. You’re a problem solver, highly organized, thorough, collaborative, and accountable.

Role & Responsibilities

• Project planning: develop comprehensive project pans, including defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements
• Project execution: lead and manage execution of marketing projects, coordinating tasks, resources, and team members to ensure successful project completion
• Cross-functional collaboration: work closely with internal teams, including content, design, demand generation, field marketing, digital marketing, product marketing, and customer marketing to ensure effective collaboration and alignment throughout project life cycles
• Budget management: monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints; communicate budget status and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Risk assessment and mitigation: identify potential project risks and build contingency plans to minimize impact; proactively address project challenges and call out issues to appropriate team members
• Communication and reporting: regularly communicate project status, milestones, and progress, providing timely updates and managing expectations; prepare and present comprehensive reports
• Stakeholder management: build and manage relationships with internal partners, external vendors, and other relevant parties; facilitate effective communication and handle expectations throughout the project’s life cycle
• Continuous improvement: identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency gains, and standardization within the marketing project management function; implement best practices to improve project delivery and outcomes

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as a marketing project manager or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced, SaaS environment
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Excellent organization and time management abilities, with meticulous attention to detail
• Solid understanding of marketing principles and tactics, including digital marketing, content creation, and campaign execution
• Proficient in project management software, including Asana and Jira
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior-level stakeholders
• Problem-solving mentality and ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities
• Experience in budget management and resource allocation
• Analytical and data-driven approach to project management, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and measure project success
• Knowledge of marketing analytics and reporting tools a plus
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (understanding of the Microsoft 365 universe a plus)
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Business Administration or related field; PMP certified preferred
