Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Master CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team. As a fast-paced job shop serving customers across many industries, we machine a variety of materials including high nickel Inconel, Monel, stainless steel, brass, and more. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of CNC Lathe operations, possess exceptional technical skills, and demonstrate a commitment to quality and precision in their work. We machine small parts; nuts and bolts! We're looking for aHOT SHOT! Someone that's confident in their skills and can keep up in a fast paced environment. Key Responsibilities: • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC lathe machines (Okuma, Haas). • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations. • Program CNC machines using G-code and other relevant programming languages. • Develop and optimize CNC programs for efficiency and precision. • Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance and product quality. • Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments and tools. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machining processes and equipment. • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and efficiencies. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining preferred. • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist, with a proven track record in a manufacturing environment. • Mastery in CNC programming (G-code, M-code) and operation of CNC multi-axis lathes. • Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately. • Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials. • Highly skilled with metrology tools including calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc. • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles is required. • Experience with CAM programming is highly desirable. • Basic math skills for calculations related to machining processes. • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
