We’re looking for a master-level manual machinist who thrives on precision, craftsmanship, and variety. If you enjoy working on one-of-a-kind projects in a fast-paced, custom machining environment, this is the job for you. You’ll be working alongside an elite team of fabricators, engineers, and technicians, making parts for in-house automation projects, prototypes, and external build-to-print customers.
At our shop, no two days are the same. You’ll work with a wide range of metals, plastics, mills, lathes, CNC equipment, and other standard machine tools, producing high-tolerance parts that demand creativity and skill. This isn’t a production job—it’s a role for a true craftsman who enjoys variety and problem-solving.
What You’ll Do
Fabricate custom precision parts for automation projects, prototypes, and external clients.
Work with engineers, techs, and welders to support a diverse range of projects.
Set up jigs and fixtures for small-run parts (typically under 100 pieces).
Run manual mills and lathes with tight tolerances and high precision.
Program and operate CNC equipment when needed (Prototrak controllers on 3 mills and 2 lathes, plus older CNCs and a new Haas machining center).
Use Fusion 360 and ONE CNC for CAD/CAM programming.
Work with all types of metals and plastics, applying advanced machining knowledge to ensure top-tier results.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of manual machining experience – You’re a master of your craft.
- High-level precision machining skills – You know how to push a lathe and mill to their limits.
- Ability to hold tight tolerances – Your work is as precise as it is beautiful.
- Strong understanding of materials & machining processes – You know metals, plastics, and composites inside out.
- Blueprint reading & GD&T proficiency – You can interpret complex drawings with ease.
- Fast, creative, and humble – You take pride in your work and enjoy collaborating with a high-talent team.
- Self-motivated & team-oriented – You can work independently, but you also thrive in a team setting.
- CNC programming experience (a plus, but not required) – If you can program, great! If not, your manual machining skills are the priority.
- AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience (a plus, but not required).
