Master Painter, Cabinet Finisher

Overview We are a custom cabinet shop seeking a skilled Cabinet Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have several years experience with all aspects of finishing. They would be comfortable with different types of finish including but not limited to conversion varnish, water based and oil based. Responsibilities • Prepare surfaces for finishing by sanding, cleaning, and applying primers or sealers. • Apply stains, paints, or finishes to cabinets and fixtures using various tools and techniques. • Finishing all aspects of cabinetry including crown, fillers, doors and cabinet pieces. • Mixing and Calculating stain mixtures as needed to insure proper matches. • Mixing proper catalyst for Conversion Varnish paints. • Cleaning paint machines after each use. • Inspect finished products for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Skills • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Cabinetry assembly a plus, but not required. • 5+ years cabinet finishing experience required Job Types: Full-time, Contract Expected hours: 40 per week Schedule: • 10 hour shift • 8 hour shift • Day shift • Monday to Friday • Weekends as needed Work Location: In person
