Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a licensedMaster/Supervising Electricianwith solar industry experience to oversee electrical operations for commercial and residential solar projects across New York and New Jersey. This individual will serve as the qualifying license holder for multiple jurisdictions, ensuring that all installations meet NEC, state, and local code requirements. The Supervising Electrician will lead project teams, provide technical expertise, and ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient solar installations. Key Responsibilities: • Act as the Supervising/Master Electrician of record for solar projects in NY and NJ. • Provide technical leadership for the design, installation, and commissioning of solar PV and battery storage systems. • Supervise, mentor, and train electricians and apprentices on solar electrical systems. • Ensure compliance with NEC, state, and local codes, as well as OSHA and company safety standards. • Review, approve, and file electrical permits and coordinate with AHJs for inspections. • Oversee electrical aspects of project schedules, quality control, and troubleshooting. • Maintain active Master/Supervising Electrician licenses in multiple jurisdictions. • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and utility companies for interconnection and approval processes. • Conduct inspections and testing to ensure system performance and safety standards are met. • Stay updated on solar technology, electrical code changes, and renewable energy best practices. Qualifications: • ActiveMaster/Supervising Electrician License(s)in New York and New Jersey (multiple jurisdictions preferred). • Minimum 8+ years of electrical experience, with 3+ years in a supervisory role. • Direct experience with solar PV systems, inverters, and energy storage required. • Strong understanding of NEC, state, and local electrical codes. • Experience coordinating with utilities for interconnection processes. • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.
