Job Description

Salary Range: The expected pay range for this position is up to $75,000 - $82,000 yearly. The pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Maximo Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience implementing, configuring, and supporting Maximo in complex enterprise environments.

Primary Duty Responsibilities:

  • Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on user needs and an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. 
  • Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems, considering computer equipment capacity, limitations, and operating time, and formulates desired scope results. 
  • Includes business and user needs analysis, documentation, and system requirement specifications. Guides and advises less-experienced Business Systems Analysts. 
  • Works at the highest technical level of most phases of systems analysis while considering the business implications of applying technology to the current and future business environment. 
  • Provide analysis of user requirements and recommend solutions that can be satisfied through configuration changes to the Air Force Facilities and Equipment Maintenance (FEM) application to utilize the MAXIMO product best. 
  • Provide Tier II call center support for Maximo issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve software quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in curating development solutions that meet business needs, such as process improvements and/or system implementations (at supported sites).
  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements through end-user communication, workshops, and other techniques. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including leaders, end-users, and technical teams, to ensure that solutions meet their needs and expectations.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.
  • Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
  • Writes detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
  • Provides consultation on complex projects and is considered the top-level contributor/specialist.

Qualifications

Relevant Experience: 

  • 5+ years of experience implementing, configuring, and supporting Maximo in enterprise environments. 
  • Expert-level knowledge of Maximo functionality, including asset management, work management, inventory management, procurement management, contract management, service management, and reporting and analytics. 
  • Experience leading Maximo implementation projects, including requirements gathering, system design, configuration, testing, and deployment. 
  • Experience/familiarity with the following Air Logistics Complex (ALC) maintenance business areas: Industrial Plant Equipment (IPE) Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL)/Metrology, Ground Support Equipment (GSE), Tool management and owner maintenance.
  • Thorough knowledge of Agile principles and values.

Tools/ETools:

  • Atlassian toolset (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jira Service Management), Zephyr scale, Information Tool (ISMIT), Apex with update, PL SQL Developer, CSCS. Azure, Dev/Ops, HP ALM, Visual Studio, Git, and the MS Office software suite.
  • Familiar with Cloud One, AWS, Azure and DISA, Maximo, BIRT/Eclipse. 

Certification(s): 

  • Maximo certification (e.g., Maximo 7.6 Administrator, Maximo 7.6 Implementation, Maximo 7.6 System Administration), Security Plus is preferred.
