Mechanic - Yosemite - Transportation Maintenance

Job Description

The Mechanic is responsible for performing a variety of work including the maintenance and repair of transportation maintenance. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

COMPENSATION: The hourly rate of pay for this position is $30.38- $30.38. This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

1. Performs all aspects of vehicle and engine repair and maintenance including but not limited to tune up and engine analysis:

? Diagnose and estimate cost of necessary mechanical repairs to automobiles.

? Repair vehicles according to diagnosis and estimate.

? Maintain accurate records of parts and labor utilized.

2. Interacts with customers to give written pricing and repair time estimates.

3. Operates computerized engine diagnostic machine.

4. Required to repair mechanical failures in buses.

5. Moves vehicles to and from service areas.

6. Performs test drives.

7. Operates tow truck vehicles.

8. Other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

? High School Diploma or equivalent.

? Must have Class B California State Driver?s license.

? Requires 3 years previous experience in all aspects of mechanical repair to both American and foreign automobiles.

? Previous experience in repairing diesel vehicles.

? Satisfactory completion of ASE Certification Test or equivalent.

? Must be able to read and understand all vehicle repair and operational manuals.

? Ability to perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous labor.

? Must provide own hand tools and operate a company vehicle.

? Must be able to lift or move heavy objects up to 50lbs and must be able to stand and work for long hours.

? Must comply with all applicable safety and local regulations, standards, and procedures.
