Mechanical Plumbing Engineer (5+ YRS EXP Required)

Job Title: Mechanical Plumbing Engineer Location: Mount Holly, NJ Main Corporate Office Job Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are seeking a Mechanical Plumbing Engineer to join our Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) team full-time at our Mount Holly, NJ office. This role involves the design, development, analysis and coordination of plumbing systems—including domestic water, sanitary, storm, fire protection, and specialty piping—for commercial, industrial, healthcare, and institutional projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and collaborative, with the ability to deliver innovative, code-compliant solutions that meet client needs and integrate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities: · Design and develop plumbing systems (including domestic water, sanitary, stormwater, natural gas, and specialty piping systems). · Perform system and hydraulic calculations including pipe sizing, pressure loss, flow rates, equipment selection, and layout design in accordance with local codes and standards (e.g.: IPC, NSPC, IFGC, ASPE, & NFPA). · Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes, national standards, and green building requirements (e.g., LEED, WELL). · Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients & stakeholders. · Prepare detailed construction documents (including drawings, specifications, and schedules). · Coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines including, architectural, mechanical HVAC, electrical, and structural teams to ensure seamless project coordination. · Assist in preparing technical reports, proposals, and engineering studies. · Assist with construction cost estimating and scheduling. · Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments to verify compliance with design intent & code requirements. · Review shop drawings, submittals and requests for information during construction administration phase for adherence to design specifications. · Provide mentorship to Junior Engineers and Designers. · Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed. These design professionals are supported by technicians, CAD designers, drafters, survey and mapping teams and field services representatives.
