Job Title: Mechanical Technician/Welder
Shift: Shift work/Days required

Key Responsibilities:
• Operational Oversight: Efficiently operate and maintain plastic extrusion machinery to ensure optimal production processes and uphold product quality.
• Machine Setup and Adjustment: Set up, calibrate, and adjust extrusion parameters, including temperature, speed, and pressure, to meet specific material and product requirements.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks, making necessary adjustments to meet specified standards and ensure consistent product quality.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve minor machine malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime and maintain continuous production flow.
• Maintenance Tasks: Perform routine maintenance tasks on extrusion equipment to ensure optimal operation, collaborating with the maintenance team for more complex repairs.
• Data Monitoring: Monitor and record production data, including output, waste, and deviations from standard operating procedures, providing timely reports to management.
• Training and Guidance: Assist in training new Mechanical Technicians, sharing expertise, and providing guidance as needed to ensure a competent and skilled team.
• Welding Expertise: Utilize welding skills as needed for maintenance and repair tasks related to the Injection Molding Extruder machine.
• Motor, Drive, Gearbox Replacement: Execute tasks related to changing motors, drives, gearboxes, and other components as necessary.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a plastic Extrusion or similar role.
• Mechanical and Welding Technician proficiency.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in operating and maintaining Plastic Extrusion machinery.
• Quality Control: Strong understanding of quality control processes and procedures.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Detail-oriented: Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Adaptability: Willingness to handle job stress and interact with others.
• Dependability: Must have regular, reliable attendance, and be willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
