Technical Skills:

• Foster an efficient deterministic testing culture, with an emphasis on minimizing tech debt and bureaucracy.

• Mentor and guide multiple engineers on the team within their area of specialization or domain, and help others understand the strategic goals of Anchorage Digital and how their work relates to these.

You may be a fit for this role, if you:

• You have 3+ years of professional experience building API first backend services (e.g. REST, GraphQL, gRPC) using modern languages and frameworks such as Golang, Rust, Java, Python or C++
• You have experience designing, building and deploying Google Cloud Platform (GCP) based microservices
• You have experience with Kubernetes
• You have experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
• You have real world experience building complex distributed systems.
• You enjoy building services from scratch and supporting them over a meaningful period of time.
• You have a genuine interest and pride in code quality and test infrastructure.
• You prioritize end-user experience and business value over “cool tech.”
• You developed “computer science fundamentals”, i.e. concurrency, algorithms, and data structures (Formal CS degree NOT required).
• You self describe as some combination of the following: creative, humble, ambitious, detail oriented, hard working, trustworthy, eager to learn, methodical, action oriented, and tenacious.

Although not a requirement, bonus points if:

• You have experience with near real-time data processing and/or low latency distributed systems.
• You feel comfortable diving down the stack and into open source projects to root cause a bug.
• You have a background in the finance industry.

Compensation at Anchorage Digital:

• Compensation at Anchorage Digital is market-driven and data-informed. All full-time employees receive a market-leading salary, meaningful equity, and a generous perks and benefits package.
• Compensation Range: €46,800 - €55,000 - this salary range may be inclusive of multiple regional locations and job grades. This compensation range will be narrowed during the interview process based on skills, abilities, and experience required.  ****We partner with third party firms annually to verify equity, cash, benefits, and perks benchmarks.
