Role Responsibilities:
- Support and/or lead development and commercialization projects of membranes being released for new or upgraded products.
- Work closely with partners in business units, operations, and procurement to collect and establish project requirements.
- Develop and track budget for projects.
- Trial/experimental design
- Negotiating machine time with production schedulers to run trials
- Directing processing trials in-person and provide hands-on support as appropriate
- Sample collection and testing
- Data analysis for demonstrating technology performance vs. requirements
- Provide effective communication of project status to all key stakeholders and upper management.
- Competently operate all test equipment, such as physical properties testing, porometry, DSC, and SEM.
- Provide technical expertise to other departments
- Benchmark competitive filtration materials and technologies as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required (In Engineering or Chemistry preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in membranes or coatings
- Ability to travel up to 15%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ePTFE, PES, mPES, PVDF, Polyproplyene Melt blown strongly preferred.
- Knowledge and application of statistical techniques
- Strong attention to detail
- Must have good work attitude, and the ability to work in a team.
- Design of Experiments experience
- Experience with stage gate development process
- Experience in Life Science or Automotive
