Job Description
We are seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes on large-scale, mission-critical projects in Austin. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to oversee the full lifecycle—from early design coordination to final integrated commissioning.
You’ll work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and select external partners to deliver highly technical facilities that operate at peak performance. We build and operate our own facilities, giving our project managers a unique opportunity to influence both construction and long-term operations.
What You’ll Do
• Manage all MEP activities on complex builds, ensuring alignment with design, budget, and schedule
• Oversee bid processes, review proposals, and negotiate vendor contracts and change orders
• Coordinate and supervise multiple design and trade partners throughout construction
• Lead commissioning and integrated system testing to verify operational readiness
• Develop and implement SOPs and MOPs for critical work activities
• Ensure compliance with FM Global requirements, building codes, and safety standards
• Identify and execute cost-saving measures without compromising quality
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with clients, stakeholders, and operations teams
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, safety, and workmanship
What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of MEP project management experience; mission-critical or data center projects preferred
• Strong technical understanding of UPS systems, mechanical cooling, and backup power infrastructure
• Proven track record in budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management
• Familiarity with commissioning processes and integrated testing requirements
• Proficiency in MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, and clients
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
Why Join Us
• Competitive salary with relocation support
• Comprehensive health coverage, paid time off, and 401(k) with match
• Access to professional development programs and leadership training
• Opportunity to work in an environment where construction and operations teams collaborate daily
• Projects that make a direct impact on technology infrastructure and sustainability
