About the Role:

The significance of this role is important as a governance lead implementing Diageo Guidelines and policy with Mezcal TPOs liquid production and Bottling.

  • To ensure compliance with all Diageo quality standards, regulatory requirements, and Local legislation, incoming from the LTO audit process
  • Lead the Mezcal TPOs partners to align with the overall aspects of Diageo Guidelines: Safety, Quality, Environment, Regulations, Food Defense, Food safety.
  • Minimise risk of quality and food safety incidents with Mezcal sites.


Key Accountabilities:
  • Mezcal TPOs Bottling process control: Responsible for all Quality processes (Product Quality, Food Safety, Packaging materials, efficiency issues, Non-Conformance, corrective actions, Market and Concerns Management, and Risk Management) at the Mezcal TPO sites.
  • Business Development: Diageo Supplier risk audits (License To Operate). As lead auditor give support to handling the Mezcal audit agenda, such as Third Party Operations for Liquid and Bottling sites.
  • TPOs Suppliers Development: Work with Mezcal TPOยดs and Diageo sites to improve their process to compliance Diageo Guidelines and bring them to an acceptable level to operate, the main controls are Compliance and risk management, Occupational Health and Safety, Environment, Assurance of incoming goods, quality process control, Finished goods Handling, HACCP, ISO 9001, Security; to compliance Diageo guidelines to operate.
  • SPIRITS OF PROGRESS 2030: Manage of first level Diageo important metrics: Responsible for supervising the key goals (H&S, Environment, Quality, compliance) through the "Monthly Mezcal TPOs governance review".
  • Driving improvements: To improve the critical metrics and Quality matter to avoid incidents.


Requirements & Experience:
  • Experience setting up quality, safety, and environmental standards and governance strategies.
  • 3 years' experience in a quality process including reception, production, and bottling lines.
  • Typically educated to degree standard in chemical engineering, food chemical or relevant equivalent and or science related.
  • Lead Auditor on ISO standard or similar.
  • Capable of identifying trends and behaviors and looking for continuous improvement.
  • Experience receiving audits from local and external entities
  • Influencing and leadership skills

Continuous Improvement - The role holder will be expected to be flexible and embrace change, continually looking for ways to improve everything he does. He will use various continuous improvement tools and techniques to solve problems. Will also be encouraged to own the relationship with the following key external partners: Agave incoming, Aging& Blending, Production, Bottling, Warehousing, internal and external auditors.

Organization and follow up: The role holder will guide his team being the example having a proper organization and follow up to the objectives, metrics, and people development
