nCome join our growing MFM practice for an opportunity to work in a collaborative, stimulating office environment, offering didacticâstyle learning with academically interesting, complex cases. Large, stable practice with 12 sonographers, 10 MFM physicians, 10 Nurse Practitioners and 5 Denver Metro area sites, supported by Pediatrix, a nationwide corporation.

nResponsibilitiesnThe Diagnostic Medical Sonographer provides ultrasound tests for patients. The sonographer works with other members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients.

- Prepares patients for ultrasound examination. n
- Explains procedures to the patient prior to scan and provides patient education materials. n
- Conducts ultrasonic diagnostic procedures and records anatomical, pathological and/or physiological data for interpretation by a physician. n
- Assists physician during invasive procedures requiring ultrasound guidance. n
- Records and processes sonographic data and other pertinent observations made during the scan and present to the physician. n
- Responsible for maintaining adequate inventory of ultrasound supplies and maintaining ultrasound equipment. n
- Participates in professional development trainings. n
- Maintain required certification and registries. n
- Performs other assigned duties as directed. n
Education:
n- n
- Graduate of an accredited sonography program with a degree in ultrasonography or equivalent. n
- Maintain or be eligible for certification as an American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) in OB/GYN. n
- Must provide evidence of continuing education credits to fulfill accreditation requirements. n
- CPR certification required. n
Experience
n- n
- Minimum six months experience as an ultrasound technician working in OB/GYN and/or MFM setting preferred. n
Experience Industry: Healthcare

- Skilled in operating ultrasound equipment. n
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. n

nThe expected pay for this position ranges from $38.00 â $65.38 per hour and is based on years of relevant experience and Fetal Echo certification.

nPay Scale is adjusted for not having Fetal Echo Certification.
