Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, located in Virginia Beach VA, is hiring a Full Time Manager of Security.

Position Overview

• Reports to the Senior Director of Corporate Security
• Monday - Friday with 24/7 accountability. Flexibility is key!

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Level Degree
• 3 years of supervisory experience or 3 years of relevant applicable leadership experience.
• Driver's License in good standing
• CHSO (Certified Healthcare Security Officer) by IAHSS (International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety) must be successfully completed and obtained within 90 days of hire. Advanced certification will be required within 180 days.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for the operations and success of a business unit within an Operating Center. Coordinate the development and marketing of new services within the business unit.

Experience: Supervisory - 3 years, or 3 years relevant applicable leadership experience.

De-escalation training and physical intervention training certification must be successfully completed within 180 days of hire. Current Handle with Care-Instructor is acceptable in lieu of basic Handle with Care training.

Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) certification by International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) must be successfully completed and obtained within 90 days of hire
