Mid-Level Designer

Overview

We are looking for a Mid-Level Designer to join our team. This person will report directly to our Design Director. As a small, growing team we’re looking for someone who enjoys visual problem-solving across many touch-points including: web, social, communications, packaging, art direction, brand, etc. We are working on things that haven't been done before and our story is complex so this individual must have strong visual storytelling skills. Ideal candidates will also come with passion for the climate space and realize that design can create change. In addition to completing your application, please include your portfolio to display your range of disciplines and media, and make sure to highlight the aspects of projects you worked on and where you worked on them (agency/in-house).

The range for this role is $70,000-$90,000. Exact compensation may vary based on the market, experience, skills and technical expertise

Job Requirements

• Strong design fundamentals such as typography, layout, grid, etc. and impeccable attention to detail, especially in typography
• Strong knowledge of digital design systems
• Thinks about design systems in terms of scalability to different types of media, format, use-cases, and applications
• Experience designing for social platforms
• Strong skills in creating narrative presentations for external use
• Strong visual storytelling skills
• Experience shipping projects from start to finish (Web, Art Direction, Campaign, Packaging)
• Ability to present ideas and work clearly and concisely
• Always seeks unique, novel solutions to design problems and draws from a variety of influences
• A highly organized self-starter, modest, and great work ethic
• Gives and receives feedback generously and graciously
• Working knowledge of design in the climate space and climate issues
