Canibuild Marketplace is our vertical that supports builders with pre-construction needs by offering drafting services, design support, and regulatory compliance assistance. We operate in Australia, the USA, and New Zealand, with a dedicated global team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Drafting:
• Work on diverse projects including ADUs, granny flats, pools (fiberglass and concrete), sheds (barn, livable, industrial), and other structures.
• Create detailed architectural designs and 2D/3D construction drawings adhering to local building codes and regulations.
• Prepare Good for Construction, Shop Drawings, Approval Drawings, and complete construction and approval sets for council/county submissions.
• Prioritize workloads and effectively handle client requests and project deadlines.
• Innovation and Compliance:
• Engage in rendering production and utilize architectural tools to enhance project presentations.
• Stay updated with Australian, US, and New Zealand building standards and integrate them into project workflows.
• Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
• Work closely with builders to understand project requirements and provide design solutions.
• Make critical decisions to balance product deadlines with stakeholder needs.
• Present designs and concepts effectively to clients and team members.
• Collaboration and Leadership:
• Collaborate effectively with global teams across different time zones.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) – Mandatory
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in an architectural practice (excluding internships).
• Strong knowledge of building construction, design principles, and producing detailed construction drawings.
• Experience with international building codes, especially Australian, US, or New Zealand standards, is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp; intermediate knowledge of Revit is a plus.
• Knowledge of 3D rendering software (e.g., Rhino, Blender) is a plus.
• Desired proficiency levels:
• AutoCAD: Advanced
• SketchUp: Advanced
• Revit: Intermediate / Advanced
• Rendering Software: Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced (please specify)
• Soft Skills:
• Strong communication and presentation skills in English.
