The role you'll contribute:

The Mission & Ministry Operations Manager will be responsible for supporting the sustainment of a mission culture for the AdventHealth Corporate Services region. Leadership areas will include implementing strategies to enhance the culture and experience of remote and in-person team members. The core responsibility is to ensure the successful execution of region-wide projects and initiatives by ensuring smooth and effective workflows and meeting established deadlines.

The ideal candidate must have a passion for creating a sense of belonging, meaning, and spiritual connection in the work experience. The role needs someone with professional healthcare ministry experience and strong management skills. The candidate must also foster a culture of Inspiration, Connection, Care, and Service by organizing ongoing programming and activities for team members. The person for this role is self-motivated with high critical thinking, attention to detail, and able to manage data platforms.

• Oversees planning, budgeting, and successful execution of mission integration projects and initiatives from inception to final product, ensuring smooth and effective workflows and meeting established deadlines.
• Supervises assigned staff, conducts annual evaluations, and provides direction, mentoring, and support as needed.
• Leads team meetings to review current projects, strategize new projects, determine priorities, and establish deadlines.
• Leads implementation and sustainment endeavors related to mission and spiritual integration into operations.
• Coordinates and leads ad hoc committees and meetings as assigned by the Director.
• Collaborates with and engages in constant communication with the department Director and other management staff to fulfill the strategic implementation
• Focuses on monitoring, measuring, and fulfilling the initiatives within the Christian Service Plan, such as the integration of the Wholeness Model, Mission Integration Peer Review, Legacy, Faith Community, etc.
• Leads in the development and implementation of programming and content, operational strategies, and maintaining agile data analytic platforms.
• Researches and identifies enhancements based on industry trends and mission integration best practices.
• Assists in the development of mission/spiritual formation curriculum and resources for leaders.
• Facilitates strong communication within the team; work with team to identify and delegate tasks to appropriate team members and ensure all tasks are successfully completed on multiple projects at once.
• Identifies issues, manages stakeholder expectations, and offers recommendations for creative solutions or workarounds based on knowledge of priorities, development roadmap, and contributing factors.
• Develops an overall project view with an eye on critical priorities to help move projects along and mitigate issues whenever appropriate.
• Coordinates with cross-function teams to produce required assets for initiatives and meet established deadlines.
• Navigates all projects through the appropriate approval process.
• Leads after-action review to thoroughly evaluate project and initiative outcomes, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Collaborates with leadership to manage the strategic planning, implementation, and analysis for all projects and initiatives.
• Provides occasional skilled spiritual care to team members facing personal and group crises, as well as lead devotionals and other inspirational moments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

• Master of Divinity or equivalent Theological degree.
• 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by Association for Clinical Pastoral Education.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Business management training or courses.
• Process improvement, project management, or related experience.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

• Residency accredited by Association for Clinical Pastoral Education.
• Public Speaking

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

• Ordination/commissioning as minister in good standing with the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
• Seventh-day Adventist ministerial credential or license.
• Endorsement by Adventist Chaplaincy Ministries, and Board eligible with Association of Professional Chaplains.
