Position Summary:
The Armed Mobile Patrol Security Officer is responsible for monitoring and detecting any suspicious activity on the property. This includes and is not limited to: trespassers, vandalism, thefts or burglaries of the property.
An Armed Mobile Patrol Security Officer must be able to understand company policies and apply simple logic to problems as they relate to their job to ensure safety for themselves, their team members and others they encounter. As an Armed Mobile Patrol Security Officer, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to our teamβs success and ensure the smooth, safe functioning of our operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
β’ Observe and Report:Keep a watchful eye on activities and incidents at your assigned location, maintaining a secure environment. Submitting daily reports to the field supervisor.
β’ Respond to Emergencies:Handle unusual or emergency situations with an appropriate level of response, including armed intervention if necessary, following established protocols.
β’ Maintain Order:Enforce site regulations and directives, ensuring a safe and orderly environment for everyone.
β’ Access Control:Manage the admittance process to the client site and facility, monitoring entrances and exits to prevent unauthorized entry.
β’ Patrol Duties:Conduct patrols on foot or by vehicle, checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, and security violations. Securing all doors, windows and access areas.
β’ Incident Management:Protect evidence or scenes in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations, and prepare detailed logs or reports as needed.
Required Qualifications:
β’ Valid California BSIS Guard Card.
β’ High school diploma or equivalent.
β’ Ability to pass criminal background screening and drug test.
β’ Legal authorization to work in the United States.
β’ Possession of current BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit.
β’ Familiarity with security technologies and incident management software.
β’ Demonstrated ability to remain composed and professional under pressure.
Physical and Environmental Conditions:
β’ Must be able to observe and hear warning signs and signals within all areas of their patrols.
β’ Must be able to get in and out of a patrol vehicle to do walking perimeter checks
β’ for the duration of their shifts for up to 10 hours a day or more (with periodic breaks allowed).
β’ Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and respond to emergencies quickly and safely.
β’ Must be able to commit to and maintain an assigned schedule.
