JOB DESCRIPTION
Are you a visual storyteller with a passion for bringing complex concepts to life through graphic and multimedia design? We are looking for an accomplished Design Manager with a background in conceptualizing and delivering highly impactful design assets for the web, social media, and marketing campaigns, with an emphasis on video, animation, and motion graphics.
The Design Manager is a key role in our Marketing organization, collaborating with teams and stakeholders across Vertafore to brainstorm and create high quality visual content that supports our demand generation, product marketing, and brand awareness priorities.
The right candidate will bring excellent technical abilities, along with a partnership attitude and a life-long learning mindset. They have proven experience delivering high-quality videos, animated graphics, and digital and print design projects. They are self-motivated but love working in a team environment. They can guide stakeholders through the creation process to achieve results that resonate with target audiences. This role reports to the Creative Director within our Marketing department.
Core Requirements and Responsibilities:
Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:

Partner with other team members and key stakeholders to on content used across a variety of platforms (web, social, video, and more)

Create and deliver creative assets, with an emphasis on video, animation, and motion graphics

Film and edit video footage and add effects/elements to enhance motion graphics

Work with stakeholders to conceptualize creative assets to meet project goals
-
Stay up to date on the latest graphic design techniques
Qualifications:
-
5+ years of graphic design, video, and animation experience, preferably in a corporate or agency setting
-
Proven experience with graphic design, video editing, and animation programs, including the Adobe Creative Cloud suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign, Spark), Figma, Cinema 4D, or equivalent

Degree in graphic design, media art, communication design or a related field preferred

Skilled videographer and technical video editor
-
Experience overseeing video projects from start to finish, including storyboarding, filming, editing, and packaging. Experience collaborating with video production companies for larger projects a plus.

Great communicator; open to receiving and implementing feedback, while maintaining brand standards and best practices

Highly organized and excellent project management skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

Experience creating visual marketing content related to SaaS or technology a plus

Experience with Universal and Inclusive design practices preferred

Travel required up to 10% of the time.

Located and working from an office location. Our offices are currently open on a voluntary basis and we are moving forward with a flexible first business need work environment in mind.
