Music Teacher

Challenger School is seeking a talented individual to join our team as a music teacher. Music is a vital part of Challenger’s proven curriculum. As a music teacher at Challenger, you will be responsible for teaching children music concepts such as rhythm, singing, recognition, interpretation, movement, and dance. You will have the opportunity to work with multiple grade levels and will also plan and direct the music for the annual Christmas Sing and Spring Program events. Responsibilities • Thoroughly learn Challenger’s curriculum, teaching methods, and philosophy • Maintain a safe and productive classroom environment • Assist teachers in multiple classes with music curriculum and concepts • Work patiently with students, parents, and coworkersQualifications • 2 years of college education or equivalent classic music training and experience in music, voice, and/or piano • Proficiency in piano accompaniment and voice delivery techniques • Ability to pass a background check • Completion of pre-employment assessmentsPosition Offerings • Health Insurance • Paid time off • 401k • Significant tuition discounts for children and grandchildren • Competitive wage of $29+ per hour depending on experience.**Please be on the lookout for an email [email protected].
