Job Summary
This leader will identify opportunities to grow customers and revenue using a consultative sales approach. Needed is the ability to develops strong networks with boundary partners and top executives and consultants in the MDU community. Strong negotiation skills and a passion for technology is a must!
This role will be specialized in targeting key areas of Multi-Family Housing including Apartment complexes, Condo developments, Town Home Communities, Student housing, Senior living, with equal attention to both new construction developments and existing competitive takeover community wide opportunities, all with the sole focus on closing Bulk Data contracts delivered via Optimum Communities Managed WiFi deployments.
Technologies involved in the service delivery will consist of fiber circuits to the premises, managed internet over fiber and ethernet with end point wireless connectivity delivered by Access Points located in the units and common areas creating a ubiquitous connected experience for the residents, staff, guests and potential property IOT device use (thermostats, water leak sensors, digital door access, etc).
The role will work closely with sales engineering, legal, and assigned Program Managers to prepare offers, close agreements, and ensure activation timeline of contracted services. While focused on Multi-Family Housing, opportunities and situations will require ability to solve for development wide Single Family HOAs and mixed-use sites where the association or property management is looking to procure wholesale high speed data for all residents and provide the service as an amenity inclusion in the monthly rents or dues.
Responsibilities
- Achieve assigned quota for managed wifi contracts
- Negotiate deals points with owners and consultants
- Work closely with sales engineering, legal and assigned Program Manager to prepare offers, close agreements and ensure activation timeline of contracted services
- Build and sustain relationships with top owners and consultants in the multifamily industry
- Play a key role in the development and implementation of company sales and marketing strategies and revenue with Optimum Managed WIFI solutions across all potential MDU customers through leadership and system collaboration, evaluation of frontline needs, packaging products, and owning the customer experience throughout the sales process.
- Cultivates executive-level relationships within customer's organization, develops and delivers presentations as needed.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree and 5 - 7 years of related experience
- 5 years of business-to-business new business development experience
- Strong executive presence with polished presentation and negotiation skills working with C-level executives
- Familiar with current Industry trends and competitive pressures
- Proven ability to collaborate with all affected internal teams
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and deal well with conflict
- Exceptional verbal, written and presentation communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and collaborative
- Experience in complex large customer negotiations and sales

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $121,715.00 - $194,744.00 / year. The rate/Range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
