Job Description
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies, action plans, and sales forecasts for the Czech Republic and Slovakia markets
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities and potential areas for growth
- Set sales targets and closely monitor the performance of the sales team
- Work in close collaboration with Country Manager and Commercial Operations Manager to improve Commercial Excellence parameters and to suggest changes if needed
- Deliver call cycle plan and S&T split of HCPs
- Lead and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and team sales goals
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to enhance their sales skills and product knowledge
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement performance improvement plans when necessary
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, key opinion leaders, and other stakeholders in the ophthalmic field
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and distribution channels to expand the company's market presence
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute effective promotional campaigns and product launches
- Coordinate sales activities with marketing initiatives to ensure consistent messaging and optimal market penetration
- Manage the sales budget effectively to optimize resource allocation and achieve desired sales outcomes
- Prepare regular sales reports and present updates to senior management, highlighting sales performance, market trends, and key insights
- Utilize sales data and market intelligence to make data-driven decisions and develop strategies for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field
- Proven track record of at least 5years in pharmaceutical sale
- Previous experience in the ophthalmic field would be an upside
- Previous experience in sales management (of at least 2 years), including leading and motivating sales teams
- Previous relevant experience in Sales Management overseeing both countries (CZ and SK) would be an asset
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market and regulatory environment in the Czech Republic and Slovakia
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Proficient in MS Office suite and CRM software
- Fluency in English and local language (Czech or Slovak)
