NDT Intern

Responsibilities

The Howmet Structural Systems (HSS) Internship Program is strategically designed to provide you with the opportunity to utilize what you have learned in the classroom and the opportunity to participate in meaningful work and gain hands on industry experience. There will be many chances to network with like-minded professionals in manufacturing, industrial engineering, and beyond through cross-departmental collaboration.

Program Details:

• 12-week work term from May-August onsite at our Cleveland, Ohio facility
• Paid internship opportunity
• Activities such as volunteering in the Cleveland community, networking opportunities, social events and impactful projects that will give a realistic view into a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include:

Supporting the Quality Team with assigned projects that will focus on NDT related tasks within a heavy manufacturing environment. Project(s) will give a realistic view into the requirements of a heavy industrial manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3.0 GPA and above
• Must be involved in at least 1 extracurricular activity or prior work experience
• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in an Engineering program - preferably NDT Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Materials Science Engineering with an expected graduation date of 2024, 2025 or 2026
• Interns must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
