Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer – Palo Alto Specialist to support one of our clients. This role requires strong experience in Palo Alto Networks, with a focus on NGFW and Panorama management. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to network security, combined with hands-on expertise in configuring and maintaining advanced firewall solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and configure Palo Alto NGFW and Panorama to enhance network security.
• Provide technical support and expertise in Arista and Cisco routing/switching (secondary).
• Perform legacy support for Cisco ASA as needed.
• Utilize Splunk for log analysis and metric reporting.
• Attend 2-4 onsite meetings per month in NYC to coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

• Palo Alto Networks: Must have experience with NGFW and Panorama management.
• Secondary skills:  Arista and Cisco routing/switching experience.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity with Cisco ASA for legacy support.
• Splunk experience for logs and metrics analysis.

Details

• Location: Remote, must be within 2-3 hours of NYC
• Must be able attend up to 2 to 4 meetings with Client in NYC in a month.
• Hourly rate: $70 to $100/hr. on 1099 based on 40 hours a week
• Duration: 6 months with possibility to extend
• Start Date: Immediate
• Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and quality standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
