Job Description
Nurse Practitioner– Neurohospitalist – PRN
Piedmont is recruiting for a Nurse Practitioner to join the Neurohospitalist team at Piedmont Henry Hospital. This is a PRN position working variable shifts as needed. The shifts are 8 hour shifts M-F.
In this role you will:
- Follow up with current general neurology and stroke patients.
- Triage new patients prior to being seen by doctor.
- Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations and record data in patient’s medical record.
- Evaluate and treat patients to achieve optimal patient care.
- Write progress notes; prepare patient work-ups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings.
- Develop plans of care that minimize complications and successfully troubleshoot problems when they arise. Apply preventative and alternative treatment strategies for possible procedural complications.

Preferred Qualifications
 2-3 years of Neurology, Neurohospitalist or hospital based experience
Minimum Qualifications
Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification
