Neurology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant) to join our growing Neurology and Neurosurgery team. This unique position includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, offering variety and opportunities to expand your expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients across both Neurology Stroke and Neurosurgery service lines
• Conduct outpatient visits
• Perform histories, neurological assessments, and post-op follow-ups
• Collaborate with attending physicians and APP colleagues to create individualized treatment plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, and ongoing care
• Contribute to inpatient rounding, admissions, and consults as needed

Our Team

You’ll be supported by a Supervising APP who provides mentorship and guidance, as well as a collaborative group of:

• 4 Neurologists
• 1 Neurosurgeon
• 4 Advanced Practice Providers

Minimum Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing or Certified Physician Assistant from an accredited program.
• Certification as a PA by an accredited certifying body (e.g., NCCPA).
• Neurology or Neurosurgery experience preferred, but not required.
• Training and familiarity in the use of EPIC (EMR) preferred.
