Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design coordination & control, development, and integration of new products that meet consumer needs
- Accountable for execution of new components and models through design, first article, engineering builds, pilot runs, and PPAP
- Lead technical team resources, design requirements, and design risk assessment throughout project integration using DFC design standards/specs (DS), APQP methodologies, and NPD launch stage gate processes
- Coach, mentor, and lead Jr. Integrators and Subsystem engineers, co-ops, and interns as assigned reports
- Establish and validate system level product requirements using DVP+R, FEA, CFD, and Additive Rapid Prototyping
- Scope, handle and approve technical tradeoffs (safety, quality, delivery, cost) to deliver requirements for production integration from concept to launch
- Collaborate with Architecture & Subsystem teams during platform prioritization, architecture, and technology roadmap development
- Perform system level engineering duties while leading matrixed subsystem engineers project activities
- Travel up to 10% within United States & Internationally
- Possess a BS in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology field from an accredited four-year college or university and have 6+ years of product design and integration leadership experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Have a shown knowledge of the following: Quality Management Systems, Regulatory Codes & Standards, Rapid Prototyping, Test methods and Design of Experiments, and GD&T practices
- Possess intermediate skills with CAD software (preferably Creo)
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively with confidence at all levels of the organization
- Be a highly motivated, confident, results oriented professional with a relentless aim to succeed
- Possess excellent problem-solving abilities, highly developed interpersonal and technical mentoring skills, and the ability to work cross functionally and influence others
- Be highly adaptable and able to react quickly, be flexible to changing direction and have an aim to complete work on time
- Ability to successfully lead multiple concurrent assignments
- Strong team development, collaboration skills and execution experience
