Night janitor

Job Overview Part time 6pm-8:30 pm M-F We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cleaning and maintenance, ensuring that our facilities are kept in pristine condition. This role involves performing various janitorial tasks in both commercial and residential settings, contributing to a clean and safe environment for all. Responsibilities • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors. • Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and sanitizing surfaces. • Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, and stripping as needed. • Handle industrial cleaning duties, ensuring compliance with safety standards and protocols. • Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment. • Provide porter services by moving furniture or equipment as required for events or maintenance activities. • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly. Requirements • Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory. • Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and products is a plus. • Familiarity with floor care equipment and procedures (e.g., buffers, vacuums). • Experience in residential painting or general maintenance is advantageous. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. • Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting or standing for extended periods.
