Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and experiencedNight Shift Lead Machine Operatorto oversee our second shift operations. This individual will be responsible for running CNC machines, supporting a small group of operators, maintaining workflow, and ensuring that quality and safety standards are upheld. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who leads by example and can make smart decisions under pressure. Key Responsibilities: • Operate and troubleshoot CNC mills and lathes (primarily aerospace parts). • Assign nightly tasks to team members and ensure shift goals are met. • Provide training, support, and oversight to other machine operators. • Ensure parts are being produced according to blueprint specifications and traveler instructions. • Monitor machine performance and escalate issues to maintenance or supervisors as needed. • Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools. • Maintain clean and organized workstations throughout the shift. • Communicate shift updates and issues clearly with day shift leadership. • Enforce safety protocols and proper machine operation procedures. • Help ensure on-time delivery by minimizing downtime and proactively resolving problems. Qualifications: • 4+ years of CNC machine operation experience (mills/lathes); aerospace experience preferred. • Prior leadership or lead role experience strongly preferred. • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills. • Comfortable using inspection tools and checking tight tolerances. • Good communication and team coordination abilities. • Ability to work independently and make decisions confidently. • Must be punctual, dependable, and detail-oriented.
