NIGHT SHIFT Machinist, CNC 3-Axis, 4-Axis and 5-Axis Mill Set-up / Operator

Maverick Aerospace, LLC is a world-class manufacturer of components and assemblies for the aerospace and defense industries. Currently our facility is nearly 80,000 square feet under roof all bays are crane served. Our machine list is comprehensive and well suited to a variety of products, from the simplest 3-axis part to extremely complex 4, and 5-axis parts from various materials including, aluminum alloys, brass, steels, titanium and plastics. Our NC Programming department is staffed with an experienced and capable team, allowing us to tackle the most complex parts with various geometries. Position Overview: Immediate opening for a Night Shift CNC 3-Axis, 4-Axis and 5-Axis Mill Set-up / Operator with 7-10 years experience. Premium applied to Night Shift Positions. Must be familiar with FANUC Control. Able to read drawings and blue prints, perform own inspection, ability to set-up and run parts complete. Must have own tools. Pay rate based on experience. ONLY NIGHT SHIFT POSITIONS AVALIABLE Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Planning machining work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). Including setting tool registers, offsets, and compensation; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs. • Setting-up mills and installing and adjusting chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; boring heads. Any Heidenheim control experiences is a bonus • Verifying settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces. • Observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, chattier, facing; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting controls, feed rate; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes. • Maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. • Documenting actions by completing production travelers, quality logs and posting time to E2 job logs. • Maintaining continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Qualifications, Skills and Abilities: • Must have own tools. • Minimum of 10 years’ experience with night shift references. • Must be able to use precision measuring equipment to achieve tight tolerances. • Ability to read drawings, blueprints, routing travelers and other documentation. • Experience performing inspections. • Experience with Fanuc control. • Must be able to work overtime and Saturdays as needed Job Type: Full-time Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Schedule: • 10 hour shift • Monday to Friday • Night shift • Overtime Supplemental Pay: • Bonus opportunities Experience: • Machining: 10 years (Preferred) Shift availability: • Day Shift (Preferred) • Night Shift (Preferred) Work Location: In person
