Night Shift Welder -Mig / Tig / Laser / Robotic

Buyken Metal Products JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION: Welding DEPARTMENT: Production Location: 1216 4th Ave N. Kent, WA 98032 Hours: Full-time - Night Shift 2:30PM to 1:00AM, MàTH Open Date: Available now Pay: DOE (Typical $25+) + 100% paid medical + quarterly profit sharing Environment: In-doors, heated shop Duties and Responsibilities: Reports to the VP of OPS • Operate welding equipment, MIG & TIG on production parts • Reading blueprints and drawings and taking measurements to plan layout and procedures • Determining the appropriate welding equipment and settings • Setting up components for welding according to specifications • Follow specific work instructions for each task • Keep accurate record of production and properly document your work. • Capable of inspecting parts using calipers and tape measures as needed • Perform in process inspection on your work • Is courteous, personable and respectful of all fellow employees • Works to keep self and fellow company employees safe and out of harms way • Ensures housekeeping and daily PM activities are being performed on machines • Correctly accounts for quantity of pieces made and for clocking in and out of work centers correctly Competency requirements: • 2+ yrs welding experience (preferred, can train) • 2+ yrs hands-on experience in a metal fabrication environment. • Ability to read, write, and converse in English preferred, Spanish speaking lead available as needed. • Must have reliable transportation to be at work on time every day • Must be able to record information required on shop traveler • Must be able to read at arm’s length customers’ drawing, work instruction and procedures in English • Experience with Fanuc robot welders a plus • Experience with Laser welding a plus • Experience with sandblasting a plus PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Must be able to sit, stand and move around continuously for up to 10hrs/day. • Must be able to lift thirty pounds without assistance and have full physical capability of all limbs Benefits offered (one of the best in the industry): • 100% of medical, dental, vision are covered for the employee (how many companies can say that?) • Buyken pays part of your yearly max deductible as well, which is unheard of • 401k retirement benefits with company match • Safe-harbor investment (we put money into your retirement even if you don’t!) • Tuition reimbursement program and extensive training programs/opportunities/certifications • No-limit profit sharing.
