Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our dynamic team For THE BALLET POP UP shop located at NORDSTROM 8/15-17. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in driving sales and enhancing the shopping experience for our customers. You will be responsible for assisting customers, managing inventory, and ensuring that the store is well-presented. Duties • Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner. • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties. • Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to customers. • Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities. • Maintain an organized and visually appealing merchandise display through effective merchandising practices. • Assist with stocking shelves and managing inventory levels to ensure product availability. • Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support in their roles. • Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. • Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries or concerns. • Communicate effectively with team members and customers, fostering a positive shopping environment. Requirements • Previous experience in retail sales is preferred, particularly in a grocery store setting. • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele. • Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply, as this can enhance communication with customers. • Experience with merchandising and stocking practices is advantageous. • Basic math skills are essential for handling transactions accurately. • Familiarity with POS systems is preferred but not required; training will be provided. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with customers and team members. • Supervising experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
