Nurse Practitioner - Hematology/Oncology

Lexington Clinic is seeking a full-time APRN to join a well-established community cancer treatment facility in Lexington, Kentucky. Lexington Clinic has been a leader in cancer care in central Kentucky since 1983. Together with Lexington Clinic, Markey Cancer Center operates two full-service community cancer care locations.

This full-time role (Monday–Friday) offers a dynamic mix of inpatient and outpatient care, including hospital rounding, patient evaluations, coordination of care with physicians, consultations, follow-up visits, and participation in the on-call rotation.

Summary of Role

As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), you will partner closely with physicians to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. Responsibilities include:

• • Perform medical services and procedures within the scope of your medical license.
  • Conduct patient histories and physicals
  • Interpret clinical data and develop care plans
  • Recommend and coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Support treatment management and follow-up care
  • Build meaningful relationships with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Maintain all requirements to maintain the license including CMEs.
  • Collaborate with facility staff and interdisciplinary teams
  • Educate patients and families about treatment options and care goals
  • Ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for patients

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program; current APRN licensure in good standing (Kentucky or applicable state)
• Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) certification or eligibility preferred
• OR graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program with NCCPA certification and Kentucky state licensure (or eligibility)
• Prior hematology/oncology or inpatient experience preferred
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification required
