AdventHealth Hendersonville, part of the faith-based AdventHealth system, provides comprehensive care based on a whole person philosophy via their award-winning team of obstetricians, pediatric specialists and certified nurse-midwives. The hospital's childbirth center offers the first fully-equipped operating room suite in Hendersonville, a three-day Celebrate Pregnancy and Childbirth class, and breastfeeding support and instruction provided by board-certified lactation consultants. AdventHealth Hendersonville currently performs about 600 annual deliveries.

Henderson, known as 'Hendo' by locals, is nestled in North Carolina's stunning Blue Ridge Mountains about 23 miles from Asheville, which was once named the Happiest City in America.

Residents enjoy the area's ancient old growth forests, jaw-dropping scenery, waterfalls and endless opportunities for outdoor adventure, along with its vibrant art and music scenes. The Asheville-Hendersonville area boasts several popular music venues that attract national acts, and is a hub for galleries and studio walks with many artists calling the city home. Another standout attraction is the Biltmore Estate - a palatial Gilded Age mansion privately owned by the Vanderbilt family. Asheville, sometimes referred to as 'Beer City,' is also famous for its very wide variety of wineries, breweries and cideries that offer hip dining, tours and tasting rooms. Nearby Brevard is home to the largest organic therapeutic herb farm in the country.
