The OEM Planner/Buyer is responsible for developing supply plans that take into account forecasts, availability of material and supplier capacity; identifying and maintaining the appropriate planning parameters in ERP systems to optimize supply plans; supporting shipping of finished goods to various distribution centers utilizing material handling equipment in support of management policies for customer delivery and inventory levels.

This position reports to the ASC and PIM Supply Planning and is part of the Supply Chain & Logistics Department located in Japan and will be an on-site role. 

What you’ll do?

• Manage materials planning, distribution, and allocation process, according to prioritization criteria defined by the business.

• Places orders with suppliers, track order confirmation, cancel, or reschedule in / out orders if needed and keep systems up to date.

• Manage suppliers E2E, from PO release to invoice payment.

• Ensure operational and suppliers’ KPIs (Inventory level, Supplier On Time Delivery, PO Management and more)

• Identify supply risks and issues, drive mitigation actions and escalate if needed.

• Optimize inventory and implement process improvements, using Lean and BI tools.

• Works together with business leadership on projects of critical importance.

Who you are:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Materials Planning and Buying, or Supply Chain experience, or Suppliers’ Management

• Experienced in working with ERP. Oracle is preferred.

• English level and Japanese level are proficient, verbally as well as in writing.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Lean Manufacturing Experience preferred

• International corporation

• MBA or master’s degree preferred
