Summary
The physical appearance of our office reflects on our organization. It is important for our Facilities Porter to be careful and thorough in managing, maintaining, and cleaning the premises. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a similar role focused on building upkeep. An excellent eye for detail and diligence are also imperative in this position.
(This is a temporary vacation replacement opportunity from Wed. 2/15/2023 through Friday, 3/3/2023. Position is a 40 hour work, 5 days in the office.)
Office Porter Tasks
Employee Assistance, Desk Setup & Cleanup
- Help with set up of new hires desks (making sure it’s clean, clear of any supplies/items, adding nametag, adding Welcome Bag)
- Packing up exiting employee desks, assisting with desk moves and setting up new employees
- Assist employees with hanging pictures, setting up standing desks and moving boxes.
Food orders & Catering
- Assist with picking up food orders from messenger center and setting them up as needed
- Set up and clean up catering in conference rooms
Mail, Packages & Supplies
- Assist Office Manager with sending out and delivering mail and packages internally
- Let Office Manager know when supplies are running low
Daily Cleaning & Stocking
- Wipe down conference room tables with Lysol (or similar disinfectant) wipes and make sure conference rooms are tidy and stocked with a bottle of hand sanitizer and a box of tissues.
- Wipe down kitchen counters and appliances on floors 26-29
- Wipe down and tidy up copy rooms (two on floors 26- 29)
- Ensure copy rooms are stocked with paper and office supplies, both on the counter and backup in cabinets.
- Refill paper in all printers
- Stock all kitchen supplies, both on the counter and backup in cabinets
- Using Lysol wipes, wipe down frequently-touched surfaces (door handles in/out of elevator lobbies, stairwells, conference rooms and bathrooms on floors 26-29.
- Keep kitchens, conference and printer rooms clean and tidy; and remove trash from pantries as needed.
Other
- Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Basic handyman skills, desirable but not required.
- Change light bulbs
- Other office and maintenance duties and tasks as needed.
- Supplement building cleaning services as needed. i.e.
- Dusting and vacuuming as needed, spot treating carpet stains
- Clean windows, glass walls and doors
- Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment
Requirements And Work Conditions
- Prior experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and appliances
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and recommend solutions
- Very good physical condition and strength
- Good communication in both spoken and written English.
- Basic computer skills – email, Internet research
- Ability to flexible hours when needed, e.g. to come in early to set up meetings or stay late to break down meeting rooms
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for prolonged periods, including walking stairs.
- Regularly lift, move and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
- Perform overhead work while balanced standing on a ladder.
- Bend, kneel, twist and reach to get to areas difficult to access and/or confined areas like closets, crawl spaces, etc.
- Overall fitness and strength — The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously, as well as the ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
- Flexibility — The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
- Manual Dexterity — The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.

A hybrid work schedule will be part of KBRA’s formal return to the office starting in January 2022. Fully remote work schedules will be an option for certain Technology employees.
