What You Will Be Doing

The Open Network Partnerships Manager, North America is responsible for building and managing a suite of hardware and software partnerships. The role is a combination of product and portfolio management in an exciting and emerging part of the ChargePoint business.

 

In this role, you will:

  • manage and strengthen relationships with existing roaming (software) and onramp (hardware) partners

  • develop a North America specific strategy and approach for roaming and onramp

  • evaluate future partners, features, and improvements against the requirements of the wider North America strategy. Where relevant, build new partnerships

  • monitor and analyse industry trends to ensure ChargePoint’s portfolio and offerings match market requirements

  • be the go-to person in the business for issues, questions, and training around roaming and onramp in North America

  • manage contracts, negotiate new frameworks, update existing agreements, and be responsible for ensuring the business achieves SLAs set out in such agreements

  • represent the business externally at industry facing events

  • develop new cross-functional internal processes

  • support the finance and reconciliation process, particularly in relation to roaming partners

  • support the development of new products and features and input to the wider engineering and product roadmap

  • report program status to Executive Staff

 

Desired skills and experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Interdisciplinary studies, or similar

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a comparable role in EV or similar type industry (e.g. telco, internet, financial, or mobility service sector)

  • Direct experience in partnership management, business development, product management, and/or solutions engineering

  • A track record of success in successfully delivering complex projects in cross-functional environments

  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, ability to manage competing priorities, and programme / project management experience

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • outstanding leadership, presentation and communications skills

  • Open to travel when necessary, including to industry events (in Europe and North America)

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Experience with OCPP and/or OCPI a plus

  • Language: English. Spanish and French are a plus.
