Position: Operations Coordinator
Location: Dover, DE

What you'll be working on
- Responsible for emergency response including assisting with procedure development, managing personnel, managing outside contractors
- Available for after-hours emergency calls
- Manage all required excavations
- Assist Operations teams with field oversight of maintenance work
- Manage select new projects for Operations teams
- Manage landowner issues and complaints
- Responsible for gathering field as-builts on Operations projects
- Assist Gas System Planning Engineer and department leads with estimate development, project development, and project schedules
- Assist with in-line inspection process
- Working knowledge of pipeline system operations
- Working knowledge of DOT & Railroad requirements
- Work with Construction Services Department to maintain welder qualifications
- Work with Safety & Compliance Department on contractors use of Veriforce
- Assist department leads with oversight of maintenance budget
- Oversite of fabrication and equipment pressure testing when needed
- Assist Operations departments with various tasks as needed
- Responsible for gathering field as-builts on Operations projects
Who you are:
- High School Diploma and a minimum of 5 years industry experience with related job functions and/or training as evaluated by management, college degree preferred.
- Valid Driver's License
- Equipment and tools: Hand tools, combustible gas indicator, Good PC skills and typing ability including Microsoft Office experience.
- Methods and Processes: Company policies, regulations and procedures; Department of Transportation regulations, knowledge of pipeline systems
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret engineering plans and specifications, technical procedures and manuals, and government regulations.
- Develop thorough knowledge of ESNG and DNG pipeline system operations.
- Understand CFR 49 Part 192 and other industry regulations
- Understand current Chesapeake related Tariffs on file with respective Public Service Commissions
- Understand DOT, railroad and other permitting requirements
- Understand OSHA safety standards
- Understand Welding procedures and NDT
Where you'll be working:
- RESPONSIBILITY FOR EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS: Assigned company vehicle, hand tools, computer or tablet, cell phone, combustible gas indicator
- RESPONSIBILITY FOR MATERIALS: Responsible for materials budgeted for, and purchased by, Department Leads or designated personnel to ensure safe and reliable operations.
- RESPONSIBILITY FOR DIRECTION AND INSTRUCTION OF OTHERS: None.
- RESPONSIBILITY FOR SAFETY OF OTHERS: This position ensures the safety of the general public and company personnel by safe operation of the distribution system and high-pressure transmission system.
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Individual shall be able to travel in vehicle for up to two hours as visits to field locations, sites and/or stations will be required.
- MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Concentration level requirements vary but many tasks require analytical reasoning and thoughtful decision making.
- HAZARDS: Working with a highly combustible substance operating at distribution and transmission level pressures.
