Operations Specialist, Digital Assets

Flow Traders is looking for an Operations Specialist with a focus on Digital Assets to join our EMEA Operations team based in our Amsterdam office. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring the full settlement life cycle and will make sure that all settlement obligations are fulfilled. You will provide direct support to the Trading department and the Operations & Control team. The ideal candidate has an eye for process improvements and efficiencies and is able to design and implement new (automated) standard operating procedures.

 What you will do

• Operate and monitor the full settlement cycle: trade confirmations, matching and settlements
• Monitor bank accounts and inventories held for settlement
• Manage correspondence with institutional counterparties
• Identify and communicate any issues affecting the settlement lifecycle
• Help develop and grow existing and new business including onboarding procedures of new platforms and counterparties 
• Maintain ownership of critical data and perform checks to confirm data is complete and accurate
• Design, implement and/or improve standard operating procedures 
• Work with the developer on the team to develop and manage scripts that support automation of recurring operating procedures 

 What you need to succeed

• University degree in a relevant field
• 3+ years of professional experience
• Proficiency in Python and SQL required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Analytical with a keen eye for process improvements and efficiency
• Ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively with team members, and escalate issues appropriately
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong orientation towards results
• Keen demonstratable interest in Financial Markets and Digital Assets required
