Salary: £11.83ph plus Veolia Benefits 

Hours: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm

Must have some flexibility to work extra hours if need be

Overtime as and when required

Location: Newcastle Waste Transfer Station, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE12 9SZ

What will you be doing?

• Unloading and loading of vehicles with waste

• Supervision of delivery drivers, ensuing they obey the site rules

• Liaising with the Senior Chemist/Site Chemists regularly regarding outgoing/incoming load requirements, operations on site and load type/volumes

• Bulking and repacking of waste materials

• Checking yellow plant and performing site checks as per the maintenance schedule

• General tidiness of the site operations (housekeeping) to be maintained 

• Operate in accordance with current legislation, site licence, company procedures, site procedures and site rules.

What are we looking for?

• Forklift truck licence (counter balance) 

• Full driving licence, held for a minimum of one year 

• Similar operational manual handling experience

• Good health & safety knowledge 

This role involves manual handling and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
